Go Digital- Erasmus+ project 2019 – 2021
ZID Theatre participates in the international project: Go Digital digital tools to help with stress management and prevent burnouts
ZID Theater participates as a partner in the European project Go Digital, together with Stichting Amsterdam European Mobility (the Netherlands), Stepp Strategie Servizi Sviluppo (Italy), Academia Postal 3 (Spain) and Asociación Cultural Integra (Spain).
It is an Erasmus+ programme from the European Union for strategic partnerships and will take place from September 2019 until April 2021.
Purpose of the project
As global ICT engagement keeps increasing exponentially, more and more educators are now depending on digital applications to complete a wide range of tasks. With this in mind, the Go Digital project spends a huge effort in developing a web application for digital training. The training aims to prevent burnouts and manage stress symptoms and targets young people and youth workers.
Go Digital app
The idea is to create an app that helps you managing stress; similar to the ones you use to train your body. The app will show you every day routines and training that can improve your stress levels, reach goals and train others in the future.
Go Digital’s Goals
1. Identify the competences linked with stress management and burnout prevention
2. Develop a curriculum based on these findings that focuses on stress management
3. Develop a digital training to improve stress management and burnout prevention for young people
4. Develop a digital tool to support youth workers and youth in general to improve stress management
The project
We will start the project with research. During this process we will try and create a European framework of competences in stress management. Starting point will be the Stress Management Competency Framework with 4 core competencies and 12 sub-competencies, developed by the Occupational Psychologists at Goldsmiths, University of London and Affinity Health at Work. ZID and the partners will use this material as starting point and they will do a workshop with relevant stakeholder in order to adapt the material to their country.
ZID will implement its own method and game Story Catcher in the project.
ZID and the partners will gather experiences, methods and practices in training and support for stress management. We will look at different methods that could form part of the Go Digital training. In a meeting with all partners we will address each partner’s priorities, topics, and best practices to create a curriculum that will be the basis of the training.
After producing the curriculum, an innovative methodology will be developed and written up in English.
When the research is done and the methodology created, a digital application will be developed for training on stress management. The intention is to incorporate research results and to make this accessible and useful for youngsters and youth workers.
