ZID Theater presents an OPEN CALL for 10 emerging performing artists living in the Netherlands.

International Hybrid Residency 2023 from Theatere in Palm – TIP theatrenetwork will find place: November 6-10 online and November 13 – 17 live in Portugal or Spain. Deadline is September 10.

In the framework of Theatre in Palm, the international theater network supported by Creative Europe, of which ZID Theatre is part, there is now an OPEN CALL for creators of different disciplines related to theater ( theater, dance, music, video, scenografie, costumes) , under the name Hybrid Residency.

 

Setup of Hybrid Residency:

This Hybrid residency is set up so that the participants from the Netherlands, selected by ZID would collaborate with the participants from Spain through partner ESPRONCEDA from Barcelona and from Portugal through partner JÁIT – International Theatre from Lisbon (Portugal).
In each residency there will be 10 makers: in the Portuguese residency 5 from Spain and 5 from the Netherlands, in the Spanish residency 5 from Portugal and 5 from the Netherlands and in the Dutch residency 5 from Portugal and 5 from Spain.

 

Planning:

Digital residency Mon 6 – Fri10 November, mostly online, with 1 or 2 meetings live at ZID Theater Mon 6. 11 is an online meeting with makers from 14 countries.
Live residency Mon Nov 13 to Fri Nov 17, on the spot in Portugal, Spain, Netherlands. 17.11 in an online festival with all makers from 14 countries.

 

Content of the digital residency:

The theme of the residency is IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT in broad sense of the word. All three international partner, are going to give substance to it in their own way together with the participating artists.
This is an unique opportunity to collaborate with creators and artists from Spain or Portugal and explore the artistic scene of Lisbon or Barcelona.
